Governor Brad Little proclaimed November “Idaho Apprenticeship Month” and promoted Idaho LAUNCH. In an apprenticeship, a person trains on-the-job to become skilled in a trade or profession while earning wages and taking courses.


The Filer Kids pond and the Filer pond will be restocked with fish this month. The Idaho fish and game said they plan to stock 10 to 12 inch rainbow trout.


The Idaho Attorney General’s office said officials arrested a 43 year old Ammon man Monday for alleged sexual exploitation of a child. 43-year-old Jason A. Bergener was booked into the Bonneville County Jail. He is alleged to have possessed sexually exploitative material.


Farmers in the Northwest are scrambling for ways to offload 165,000 tons of potatoes after overestimating the public’s demand for the root vegetable in 2023. With the average large russet weighing roughly 6 to 10 ounces, farmers in Oregon, Washington Idaho and Alberta, Canada are dealing with a combined surplus of 600 million potatoes.


The BLM Boise District Office will host a wild horse adoption Nov. 10–12 at the Boise Wild Horse Off-Range Corral just off Pleasant Valley Road. There will be more than 100 wild horses available for adoption during the three-day event.


An early morning police involved shooting near Lewiston yesterday has left one person injured. Just before 2 am police attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation. When the vehicle wouldn’t stop more officers joined in a pursuit. The driver of the car shot at an officer. Officers returned fire striking the suspect who was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Prosecutors have until December 1st to hand over DNA evidence to the defense in the trial of Bryan Kohberger. The judge issued that ruling yesterday. Kohberger faces murder charges in

the death of 4 U of I students who died in a home near the school last November.


Two small earthquakes were reported this week in Idaho. No damage was reported in either case. The first was Wednesday just after 10 near Stanley. The second yesterday just after 9 am near McCall.
