The judge overseeing the capital murder trial of Bryan Kohberger, the man accused of killing four Idaho college students last fall, has denied both of his lawyers' attempts to toss out the charges against him. Kohberger's lawyers had argued that prosecutors withheld evidence that might aid Kohberger in defending himself, and biased the grand jury.

According to a facebook post from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s office, two separate home burglaries occurred this past weekend.  No one was home at the time.

Marjorjon Kaylor the northern Idaho man who was accused of killing his neighbors over the fathers day weekend has pleaded guilty to four counts of second degree murder.  Kaylor and his wife claim that a neighbor engaged in inappropriate behavior in front of their young children while standing in front of a window.  He will be sentenced March 25th. 

An Ada County judge said he will decide within the next month whether to dismiss a lawsuit filed by four women and two physicians against the state of Idaho challenging the scope of the medical exceptions in the state’s abortion ban.  The lawsuit is named for the lead plaintiff, Jennifer Adkins, who sought an abortion in Oregon in April because her 12-week-old fetus was diagnosed with a condition that would have resulted in a miscarriage or stillbirth, and likely jeopardized her own health. 

Kootenai County’s prosecutor is attempting to have Magistrate Judge Clark Peterson removed from all cases involving his office after filing a sexual harassment complaint against the judge, according to court documents.   Peterson had been on leave over personnel issues since May and was publicly reprimanded by the Idaho Judicial Council last month. His leave ended on Dec. 6.

Chobani has purchased a coffee company for a cool $900 million.  The yogurt-maker, which operates a large manufacturing facility in Twin Falls, announced it acquired La Colombe, an independent coffee roaster that sells canned and ready-to-drink coffee beverages and coffee beans. La Colombe operates 32 cafes.
