September in the rearview mirror as the Broncos turn their attention to Mountain West play. San Jose State visits Albertsons Stadium on Saturday for a 6 p.m. showdown on The Blue. After blowing a 17-0 lead against Memphis last week, Boise State will flirt with a new-look offense against the Spartans featuring split quarterback responsibilities.


Boise State men's basketball has had 13 games selected for national television, the Mountain West conference announced this week. Highlights of the television schedule include the nonconference game against Saint Mary's in Idaho Falls, Idaho being selected for FS1 and the home game against San Diego State being aired on CBS. The Broncos' road games against San Jose State on January 5th, Nevada January 12th and San Diego State March 5th have moved to Friday, while the away game at New Mexico on January 31st has moved to Wednesday. All four game dates were moved for television and will air on FS1.


FOX Sports and the Mountain West Conference announced Monday that the Oct. 14 football game between Boise State and Colorado State will air live nationally on FS1 with a 7:45 p.m. MT kickoff time. Colorado State has won their past two games entering their Mountain West opener this week at Utah State. Both losses for the Rams have come against Pac-12 teams, Colorado and Washington State. Meanwhile Boise State hosts San Jose State at Albertsons Stadium.


From the scoreboard yesterday, to boys soccer where the Sun Valley Community school defeated Buhl 9 to 1. Kimberly outlasted Declo 5 to 0. Wendell took the win over Bliss 6 to 3.


For the girls, the Sun Valley Community School defeated Buhl 7 to 1. It was Kimberly 10 Declo 0. Bliss and Wendell tied it up 1 each.


In volleyball action, Dietrich defeated Camas County 3 to 0. Canyon Ridge outlasted Burley 3 to 1.


The Burley Boys Cross Country took 4th in the Bob Firman invite in Pocatello.


Taking a look at the high school sports schedule for today, first for football, where Camas County is celebrating senior night and will welcome Shoshone to the field. It’s Buhl’s homecoming and the Indians will host Wendell. Canyon Ridge will be celebrating Senior night and will welcome Mountain Home to their field. Hansen travels to Dietrich, Carey travels to Glenns Ferry, Filer goes to Gooding and Castleford will board the bus and head to Hagerman. Jerome hosts Minico. Raft River travels to Murtaugh and Burley goes to Twin Falls to take on the Bruins. The Lighthouse Christian lions head to Valley, Declo travels to West Side and Kimberly will go to Wood River.


As for Volleyball, Burley will travel to Logan Utah to play in the Cashe Valley Challenger Tournament. Wendell boards the bus to Buhl. Dietrich, Carey, Camas County, Sun Valley Community School and Valley travels to the Butte County Tournament. Twin Falls travels to Utah to be part of the Green River tournament.


For golf, the 4A state tournament is set to begin at 8 this morning in Moscow.

For soccer the great Basin Conference District Tournament moves on.
