From high school softball games played over the weekend, starting our look from Saturday, we find the Declo Hornets defeated Bear Lake 15 to 4.  Wendell defeated the bears 22 to 0. Mountain View over Gooding 7 to 0.  Rocky Mountain outlasted Gooding 14 to 4.  It was Canyon Ridge 15 Fruitland 1.  Weiser outlasted Canyon Ridge 5 to 4.  Kuna defeated Burley 9 to 5. 


In baseball from Friday, Lighthouse defeated North Fremont in a double header 8 to 4 and 8 to 6.  From the Bucks Bags Tournament in Boise, Fruitland victors over Burley 12 to 2.  Boise 9 Burley 2.  Minico for the win over Capital 11 to 4.  Vallivue defeated Jerome 11 to 6. Jerome defeated Fruitland 10 to 7.  It was Marsh Valley 15 Wood River 3.  Wood River 9 Century 4.  In a double header, Parma took the first game over Filer 7 to 2.  In the second game Filer defeated Parma 10 to 9.


From the win the pitch spring break softball classic, Mountain View downed Kimberly 9 to 5.  Rocky Mountain outlasted Kimberly13 to 2.  Twin Falls outlasted Rocky Mountain 6 to 5.  It was Mountain View 7 Twin Falls 6.  McCall-Donnelly 18 over Canyon Ridge 10.  Then Canyon Ridge defeated New Plymouth 11 to 5.  Vallivue outlasted Burley 15 to 6.  It was Burley 15 Sugar Salem 2.  Capital for the win over Jerome 10 to 3.  Borah the victor over Jerome7 to 5.  Borah took the game over Gooding4 to 2.  Capital the winners over Gooding 10 to 6.  It was Wendell overpowering Declo 11 to 3.


The College of Southern Idaho Baseball Team walked it off to take game one 8-7 before beating CNCC 11-4 in the final game of the four-game series Saturday. CSI, 20-11 overall and 5-4 in conference play, travels to USU Eastern next Friday and Saturday.


College of Southern Idaho Softball's Tessa Hokanson set the all-time career record for doubles and the Golden Eagles run ruled Colorado Northwestern 14-4 and 18-2 Saturday in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.  The sophomore finished the day with two doubles to take her career total to 43. She also holds the single season record of 28 she set as a freshman. CSI, 23-9 and 13-3, hosts USU Eastern Friday and Saturday.


Boise State softball routed Utah State 13-1 in five innings, Saturday for its first Mountain West victory of the season.  The Broncos scored multiple runs in each of the first four innings to avoid a series sweep against the Aggies. Boise State hosts San Jose State in a MW series starting Thursday. The series opener at 6 p.m. is scheduled to be the first night game in the history of Dona Larsen Park.
