Sports 5/8/24

In High School Baseball the Wendell Trojans scored nine straight runs yesterday and won the 2A Canyon Conference District Championship.  The final score was Wendell 9 Declo 3.  Wendell will now play in the state tournament in Pocatello starting next Thursday.

As the district baseball games continue today, Vision Charter and Lighthouse Christian travel to Glenns Ferry.  Canyon Ridge goes to Wood River.  Burley hosts Mountain Home and Buhl will travel to Gooding.

For District Softball, Filer and Kimberly meet in Gooding, Declo travels to Wendell, Canyon Ridge to Burley and Minico goes to Jerome. 

The College of Southern Idaho Softball Team fell to Salt Lake CC 4-3 early Tuesday before coming back to beat Snow College 4-3 on a walk of in the Region 18 Tournament. CSI will take on Salt Lake in the Region 18 Championship at noon Wednesday. The Golden Eagles would need to win two against the Bruins to win the Region 18 title.
