Politicians from Idaho have made a firm stance against the Lava Ridge Wind Energy Project in a letter sent to Department of Interior and the BLM.   The BLM recently published a preferred alternative which shrinks the project by nearly half of its total turbines, but Idaho's politicians still have concerns about the project. Idaho lawmaker leaders are claiming that the BLM's recent environmental impact statement on the project fails to address concerns regarding the Minidoka National Historic Site, grazing, wildlife response, Idaho's energy requirements, and more.



Idahoans expecting new license plates will now have the convenience of tracking their shipment through the Idaho Division of Motor Vehicles' updated online portal. Manufacturing and shipping of license plates typically take between four to six weeks. This new tracking feature is part of the DMV's broader initiative to digitalize and streamline its services.

Former Idaho Republican Party Executive Director Josh Whitworth is now the leader of the State Board of Education.   Idaho Governor Brad Little announced Whitworth’s appointment yesterday. For the past eight years, he has served as the Chief Deputy Controller in the State Controller’s Office.



If you are applying for unemployment, there will be more hoops to jump through.  Starting July 7th, all will need to complete and report five work search actions each week to receive benefits. 



When it comes to homelessness, Idaho is ranked 14th in the nation.  One of the primary culprits behind the rise of homelessness in Idaho over the past years is the increase in cost of living, combined with stagnant wages.



The failure of a Lithium Ion battery pack is being blamed for the fire that destroyed a police storage building in Coeur d’Alene.  The fire broke out in the early morning hours of June 9th and completely gutted the building.



Nearly five months after the fatal collapse of a Boise Airport hangar, the partially standing structure is scheduled to be demolished.  Big D Builders, the company building the hangar at the time of the collapse which killed three workers said it will be removed this week.
